Every Ford Direct car is backed by a comprehensive Ford Direct warranty which provides:

NB: The Ford Direct warranty is invalidated if the vehicle is modified or used for rallying or racing, private hire, taxi services or short term rental. Vehicles leased for 6 months or more are still eligible.

All Ford Direct cars benefit from free AA vehicle membership for a full two years. The comprehensive cover includes:

At the start of the process, Ford approved inspectors/RAC engineers assess whether a car can meet Ford Direct standards. Inside, outside, under the bonnet, under the car; even the tool kit is scrutinised to make sure it's complete and up-to-scratch. Following a road test, the car will then go through the Ford used vehicle reconditioning process, where it gets the "treatment". Any defects noted on the preliminary check are put right. The cars history is brought up-to-date and it then has a full valet. Finally, the car has to pass a road test.

An independent RAC inspector will then complete his own thorough examination of the car. Only then will it be given a security hologram, the mark of a genuine Ford Direct car.

If you don't like your Ford Direct car for any reason, even if you just go off the colour, you can exchange it within the first 30 days or 1,000 miles (whichever is sooner) subject to a few sensible terms and conditions:

• Returned to the selling dealer
  
• The same vehicle as sold(i.e tyres, options etc.)
  
• In the same condition as sold (i.e no accident damage)
  
• exchanged for another vehicle similar or higher price (you will have to pay the extra if there is a difference in the sales price)

If you have brought the vehicle on finance, you will have to settle your balance with the finance company and sign a new finance agreement.

To protect you from the risk of 'clocking', all Ford Direct vehicles are checked on the National Mileage Register before they are offered for sale. Furthermore, to give you total peace of mind, every vehicle is given a comprehensive HPI check.

You can feel safe in the knowledge that your car:
