Key features Headlamps Halogen Adaptive Front Lighting System (AFS) The distinctive jewel-like headlamps swivel horizontally by up to 15 degrees, as you turn the steering wheel, and cast light on the road just where you need it. Static bending lights provide extra light for sharp cornering and junctions. (Standard on Titanium X) Bi-Xenon headlamps Bi-Xenon High Intensity Discharge (HID) headlamps, which also come with static bending lights, are an alternative option. They project a far longer beam that's twice the intensity of normal halogen headlamps, providing exceptional visibility of the road ahead - and using only two-thirds of the energy. FordEasyFuel The all new Mondeo is the first production car to feature Ford's award-winning FordEasyFuel system. Standard across the range, the system features a mis-fuelling inhibitor that can tell the difference between the fuel pump nozzle used for petrol and diesel and only accepts the right one for your car. So you'll never experience diesel being added to a petrol tank or vice versa. And its capless design removes the risk of spilling fuel on your fingers - or worse - your clothes.

Premium blue glass The modern contemporary look of the Titanium X is further distinguished from the rest of the range with premium blue glass.

Keyless entry Walk up to the all new Mondeo and it recognises you're on the way thanks to smart sensors fitted to the exterior that detects your key fob. Simply pull the door handle to open the door or the handle on the bootlid or tailgate to access the rear of the car. (Optional on Titanium X)

Step inside and turn on the engine without having to remove the key from your pocket or bag; smart sensors will automatically detect its presence. Luxurious leather comfort Sit back and relax in comfort. Superb interior options, available as standard on selected models, include a leather steering wheel, leather gear shift knob and a soft, comfortable leather handbrake grip. (Optional on Ghia)

New ambient lighting Ambient lighting adds a touch of distinction and sets the mood for a more relaxed drive. Whenever the headlights are on, a soft amber glow illuminates the centre console area around the gear stick. And extra lighting in the foot wells make it easy to see what's underfoot when you get in and out of the car.

Interior space The all new Mondeo's already generous space is now even more expansive with greater leg room in front and increased shoulder room in the rear. Loadspace is also increased, while a larger glovebox and numerous storage areas mean the all new Mondeo stays free from clutter.

(Optional)   Adaptive Cruise Control with Forward Alert Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) has been developed for more relaxed, confident motorway driving. Using sophisticated radar technology it constantly monitors the gap between you and the vehicle ahead, automatically adjusting your speed to keep you at a safe distance. Forward Alert provides an audible and visual warning if there is a risk of colliding with the vehicle in front. At the same time, Emergency Brake Assist (EBA) primes the brakes for optimum braking performance, so you can confidently handle the unexpected. (Optional on Zetec, Ghia and Titanium X)   Follow-me-home lights Another thoughtful touch - once home, the headlights and optional puddle lights stay on for a few seconds helping light the way to your door.   Interactive Vehicle Dynamics Control (IVDC) with Continuously Controlled Damping (CCD) Even under critical driving situations, like a slippery road or sharp corner, you're always in full control. Interactive Vehicle Dynamics Control (IVDC) noticeably improves handling, stability and braking performance while Continuously Controlled Damping (CCD) ensures you'll always have a smooth ride. The CCD system continually monitors and adjusts the damper rate every two tenths of a second, controlling the pitch of the vehicle when braking or accelerating and minimising roll during cornering. Choose from three suspension settings - sport, normal or comfort. If required, Mondeo will automatically adjust to sport mode, to prevent body roll and skidding. (Optional on Zetec, Ghia and Titanium X)   Hill Launch Assist This useful option enables effortless control on hill starts. After releasing the brake pedal when stationary, the system keeps the wheels locked until you apply the accelerator, so you'll never experience the stress of your car rolling backwards. Hill Launch assist is included as part of IVDC and ACC.   Tyre Pressure Monitoring System For one less concern when driving, individual wheel sensors constantly monitor tyre pressure and sound a warning in the instrument panel should there be a loss of pressure. (Optional)   Run Flat Tyres Should you encounter a puncture, Run Flat Tyre technology means you can continue driving to find the nearest place where the tyre can be replaced. (Optional)

Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) ABS is standard on all models and prevents the brakes from locking the wheels. This helps to prevent skidding in extreme conditions or under very hard braking.

Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) EBD balances the braking force across all four wheels to achieve stable braking and shorter stopping distances.

Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) with Emergency Brake Assist (EBA) Now standard on all new Mondeo models, ESP detects sudden changes in steering, braking and vehicle behaviour that may cause a loss of vehicle control. It reacts automatically, if needed. By reducing power and braking individual wheels, it helps you stay confidently on the right track. EBA helps reduce stopping distances in an emergency.
