Mountune Performance Focus Zetec S MP200
AUTOSPORT, Birmingham, 15th January, 2012. Mountune Performance, the road car
performance division of Revolve Technologies has today unveiled its first product to
feature Ford's new Ecoboost turbocharged engine technology.
The new MP200 kit is based on the 1.6-litre variant of the Ecoboost family as featured in the newly
released Focus Zetec S and features a new larger capacity alloy intercooler and re-calibrated
engine control module.
Due for release in Q2 of 2012, the target power output is 200PS with 320Nm torque - a significant
uplift to the Zetec S model's 180PS, 270Nm credentials. Although developed to partner the
recently released range-topping Zetec S derivative, the MP200 upgrade will also be compatible
with all Focus 1.6-litre Ecoboost models, including the 150PS variants.
Mountune's Performance Engineering Manager, David Jones said; "Our extensive research and
development of Ford's Ecoboost Global Race Engine, combined with our road car expertise
means we can offer customers the ultimate Ecoboost performance products, whilst in the majority
of cases maintaining their base vehicle warranty. The Focus Ecoboost MP200 kit heralds the first
of many Ecoboost-powered products that will join the Mountune product line-up in 2012."
The model shown also features a Ford Racing inspired livery, lightweight alloy wheels and Eibach Lowering springs. |
