The Mountune Racing MR290 package for the Ford Focus ST is based on the core components of the market-leading MP260 upgrade kit with the addition of several key hardware components.
The MP260 kit consists of; a larger tailored high-performance alloy intercooler (updated for 2011), a high flow air filter and this is joined by a large-bore downpipe with anti-loosen bolts, 200-cell sports catalyst, cat-back exhaust, cast inlet plenum and a revised engine calibration to further enhance the overall performance of the combined hardware.
Once upgraded power increases to 290PS at 5500rpm and torque is raised to 440Nm at 2,750 to 4,500rpm.
The upgrade will produce performance returns of 0-60mph in 5.6 seconds, a 0.9 second improvement over the standard ST, and 0-100mph in 12.5 seconds, 3.5 seconds faster than the standard model.
As with all Mountune upgrades the MR290 has been subjected to a vigorous test and development program to ensure optimum drivability, reliability and driver enjoyment.
This upgrade can be fitted to any model year of Focus ST, new or used and can be upgraded from MP260, with or without any of the required additional hardware already fitted to the vehicle to allow for easy modular upgrading.
All parts supplied within the kit benefit from a 12 months/12,000-mile warranty against manufacturing defects. As a Mountune Racing upgrade this kit does not benefit from the same warranty arrangement as Mountune Performance products and may invalidate your base vehicle warranty.
Please note: As part of the calibration update process the original vehicle ECU will need to be returned to Mountune.
